No jackhammering or dust expected this week. Some minor concrete breaking expected Monday. Dust suppression measures in place. Our contractor is in constant communication and compliance with MOL and MOE. Project progressing well and on schedule.

Last week more than 1/2 was taken down and drawn away for recycling. This week should have it mostly gone. Abatement continuing in north and east wings.

Starting today with the oldest part of the main building, the West Wing, followed by the East Wing. We don’t expect any traffic delays due to dust or road closures. Abatement continuing in the North Wing.

Please be advised that GFive Inc. has filed a formal re-zoning application for the former Sarnia General Hospital properties. The re-zoning application will be considered in an open City Council meeting in the near future.
In advance of the re-zoning meeting, GFive Inc. is hosting a community meeting to present its plans for the property and invites your questions and comments. The meeting will be held at the Lochiel Kiwanis Centre on Tuesday April 17th at 6:30 p.m.

You may have noticed not a lot of exterior demolition work going on lately. However, Interior abatement activities going on strong, with 2 shifts. For safety reasons it is necessary to complete large sections of abatement before any more demolition can resume. West wing will be first, followed by East wing. You will see exterior activity again soon.
